the ice is getting thinner - death cab for cutie .
my friday night? let’s see … baking cupcakes, watching parent trap and wondering for the millionth time why i wasn’t lucky enough to be sent to sleep away camp when i was younger.
things still left to do:
pack - or at least begin to realistically think about packing
shop (depending on what i find when i attempt to pack)
playlist ???
attempt to find my camera
go to the library because there is no way i’m going on an 18 hour road trip with my familywithout a book (or several)
invest in a pair of decent headphones
wash my bedsheets - my mom has this thing about having clean bedsheets when we get back from trips, which means washing them before we leave, which means a pain in my ass because do you know how difficult it is to put bedsheets on the top bunk of a bunkbed when you are almost 5’9”? legs and arms are everywhere! i’m pretty sure i’ve mooned the neighbours at least once on accident from this.
convince my parents to let me take my laptop
in addition to all this, i somehow have to find the time to study for my english and math exams. lovely.
weeeell. it looks like i have a busy week :$
i said blue moon of Kentucky keep on shining, shine on the one that’s gone and left me blue
now back at the homestead
where the air makes you choke
and people don’t know you
and trust is a joke
we don’t even have pictures
just memories to hold
that grow sweeter each season
as we slowly grow old
all those people, those sixty-something year olds, they were here once. maybe that’s where we’ll end up. maybe we’ll get lucky and at the end of all this we’ll be old and loved like them. maybe that’s enough.
